How to Balance

Look at the operation done to x — identify whether it’s +, −, ×, or ÷.
x + 7 = 15 → operation is addition

Apply the inverse to both sides to keep the scale balanced.
Subtract 7 from both sides → x = 8

Check your answer by substituting back into the original equation.
8 + 7 = 15 ✓
