📚 Volume of a Cone

The Formula

A cone holds exactly one-third of the cylinder that matches it. That is where the ⅓ comes from!

V = ⅓Bh — B is the area of the circular base.
B = πr², so V = ⅓ π r² h
⚠️
If you are given the diameter, cut it in half first — the formula needs the radius!
d = 20 in → r = 10 in

Worked Example (from the video!)

Height = 7 in, radius = 4 in, use 3.14 for π.
