📖 How It Works

📈 TREND LINES

A scatterplot shows data points. A trend line (line of best fit) follows the pattern of the dots.

Dots rising left to right = positive association. Falling = negative. No pattern = no association.y = mx + b  →  m = slope, b = y-intercept

To match an equation: find b where the line crosses the y-axis, then count rise over run for m.
